This new program offers the advantage of postponing, or avoiding, nursing home placements.

Elders or disabled adults can live with family members, and are often happier and more independent as residents of the community.The program allows family members and friends to provide full-time care and services to elder and disabled adults.

The program participant and caregiver must live together in either the caregivers or the participants home.

Care can also be provided by a nonfamily caregiver who is carefully screened and credentialed by Caregiver Homes.The Caregiver Homes program gives Dover elders an opportunity for community choice while allowing family members to remain at home to provide caregiving for their elder loved one said Jamie L.
